It is Arbor Day, and instead of writing (as I normally do) about news articles or events that have something to do with firewood, I will just write about trees.

Trees are important to every aspect of our lives. Even if you live in an intensely urban area, there is a park, or a city tree, or just a really nice wooden table, that matters to you. And if you live somewhere out of the city, maybe a leafy suburb or a rural area with lots of farms and forests, trees are probably everywhere you go. With all this in mind, I recommend to all readers of the Don't Move Firewood blog to think about trees today. And how important they are- to all of us.

That's all. Happy Tree Day!
