Most people only own one home, so luckily this article by the New York Times, although written for people who have two homes, has good hints for anyone that burns firewood to heat their residence.

The article doesn't explicitly talk about the threat of moving pests on firewood, but it does discuss how firewood is a local product that can be inexpensive. So while of course I'd have preferred some classy coverage of our website, I still liked this article.
