The EAB infestation introduced into Maryland in 2003 has been confirmed as being a lot bigger than was previously known.
Maryland Department of Agriculture officials have discovered an emerald ash borer (EAB) site in Charles County, MD. While finding the beetle in a new county is unfortunate, it appears the infestation is still part of the original population introduced into Maryland in 2003.
